4 February 2016, Sama-ae and other flok fishermen went to the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives to hand a letter to the minister, demanding for the amendment of the section 34 of the Fishing Act of 2015 because the act negatively effected on life of fish folk fishermen. Sama-ae however did not notify the local Police Station under the Public Assembly Act.       
 
On 11 May 2017, Sama-ae's lawyer informed ilaw that the prosecutor had issued a non prosecution order the case was then dismissed.
