Suraphan, also known as ‘Pho Mai’, the secretariat-general of Khon Rak Baan Kerd—local advocacy group against mining in the province of Loei, was sued by Tung Kham, the mining company. As the message posted on the Facebook page of ‘Muengrae Mueng Loei’, was deemed defamatory and possibly lead to mistrust among the company’s customs as well as public.
Prior to this case, he was sued by the company for 5 cases. For this case, the complaint was filed to the Provincial Court of Mae Sot.
