On 12 April 2017, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) informed Spring Radio unofficially to stop broadcasting for 7 days. After receiving an order, Spring Radio tried to review its content to see whether it had broadcasting content that deemed to be an offense against national security or not? which later caused the temporary ban but NBTC had not identified clearly such content.

On17 April at noon, the NBTC allowed Spring Radio to rebroadcast at 12.00 of 17 April 2017 which was ahead of the time according to the order which stated that Spring Radio can rebroadcast after 24.00 of 17 April 2017.
