In 2007, Mr. Giles Ungpakorn has published a book in english with the title "A Coup for the Rich", with parts of the text referring to the King and the banned book "The King Never Smiles". He stated that the 2006 Coup was supported by the King. Hence, the book was banned in Thailand and the author was prosecuted with Lese Majeste in January 2009.
