Free Youth Movement, one of a youth group in Thailand announced to protest at Democracy Monument on 18 July 2020. Initially, the group announced that there will be 4 main speakers including Tattep from Free Youth, Jutatip from Student Union of Thailand, Panupong and Natchanon from Eastern Youth for Democracy.

On the date, the protest started at 3 p.m. In the early stage of protest, the police tried to advance toward to the stage with intention to stop the protest. In the same time police's vehicle with lound speakers that parked in the area also announce that the protester may committed offense against several provision of laws and urge them to stop the protest for their own good.

However, there were many protesters on the spot the police then retreat from the stage area and the protester carry on with their activities.

Number of speakers including music band were presented on the stage until the protest was ended at around 1 a.m. of 19 July 2020. Later, on 7 August 2020, Anon, Human Rights lawyer and political activist who gave speech were arrested by under court's warrant. In the same day Panupong another speaker was also arrested. It needed to note that the police directly request the court to issue arrest warrant but never summon them to acknowledge accusation.

On 14 August 2020, Parit aka penguin, another student activist who gave speech in the same protest was also arrested under court's warrant before he go to join protest at Nonthaburi Pier. Afterward, the police summon other protesters one after another. Until 28 August 2020 there were 13 person arrested in this case.
