Mongkol or 'Bas' who lives in Chiang Rai Province constantly expressed his opinion on Monarchy on his Facebook especially during the monarchial reform protests.

In April 2021, he traveled to Criminal Court in Bangkok to conduct hunger strike on his own to demand right for bail of lese majeste defendants. He was arrested in front of the court and was taken to Chiang Rai province to notify accusation under Lese Majeste law from his several posts on Facebook.

Mongkol was arrested twice in April 2021 and in May 2021. He was initially charged in two cases but the court later merge case file in to one case file.
